Beginners Sewing Class
by RHensel Fashion Design
Would you like to sew, but don't know where to start and you are not very confident with your sewing machine?
Then come along to my next sewing class at the wonderful Paper and Smiles Studio.
First part of the class will be all about getting to know your own sewing machine. What button will do which function, which stitch is good for which project, right threading, trouble shooting, needles, different feet and more.
I will also briefly talk about different threads, fabrics and interliners/interfacings.
At the next part of the class, we will sew an apron. You have the choice to make one in adult or one in child size.
I will teach you how to hem, line, gather, how to sew a button hole with your machine, sew on a button and attach a pocket.
All materials are included. Just bring your sewing machine and sewing essentials (pins, hand and sewing machine needles, thread, scissors, measuring tape, chalk).
You will also receive a handout of everything we will cover at class.
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
You can book directly with me or online/in person with Kirsty from Paper and Smiles.
I very much look forward to see you soon.
