New creatives coming to host workshops in June!

Wow, I have just realised that the Studio has now been officially open for nearly 2 months!  It has been lovely to meet lots of new customers at events and workshops, and I delighted that next month will see 3 other creatives as well as myself teaching workshops.  I thought I would write a little blog to introduce them all to you.

First up is Karen from Dot & Blocks

Dots and Blocks Block Printing

Karen is a mixed media artist specialising in combining creativity with Mindfulness, teaching Dot Mandala and Block Printing workshops.  Karen is also hosting a monthly craft club at the Studio, come along and try out some new craft techniques or experiment with different materials before splashing out on lots of new kit - it's the perfect club for budding crafters looking to try out some new things!  Karen is in the Studio on the 6th of June (also my birthday, so there will be cake) for craft club followed by a block printing workshop.  For more information on how to book click here.

Next up is Ramona from RHensel Fashion Design

RHensel Fashion Design

RHensel Fasion Design was set up in 2010 by Ramona.  Ramona creates individuality, and all her pieces reflect that, from bespoke wedding and prom dresses to children's clothes, bags and how about this coat of dreams!  Ramona loves to teach sewing workshops - she is back to teaching workshops after a little break (if you call having 2 children a break) and will be joining us in the studio to teach a workshop in how to sew a summer skirt.  The workshops are taking place on the 13th and 29th of June and can be booked here.

Finally we have Fiona from Jewellery Moves

Jewellery Moves

Fiona runs ‘pop up’ jewellery workshops throughout the south. She champions the idea that ‘the experience is as precious as the jewellery you make’ and a belief that you can ‘make jewellery anywhere’.  Fiona has turned the idea of learning jewellery skills at a traditional workbench on its head. Instead her workshops take place around a table with everyone facing each other and sharing tools as well as conversation (like a dinner party only with no food but instead beautiful jewellery).

Fiona will be in the Studio on the 28th of June for a Silver Ring Making Workshop - at the workshop you will learn to make 2 silver rings from scratch.  For more information and booking click here.

It's so exciting to welcome these three lovely new creatives to the studio, please do join us for a workshop if you can, and please keep telling your friends about the Studio.

Until next time  - Kirsty x
